1. For most passenger cars, vans, and even small light trucks, manufacturers typically recommend a tire pressure range of 27 to 32 PSI (186 to 220 kPa), but in practice, it can be increased up to 40 PSI (275 kPa).
2. Tire pressure monitoring can be viewed on the dashboard. The dashboard features a car icon in the center, with tire pressure readings displayed near each of the four wheels.
3. Align the measuring end of the tire pressure gauge with the tire valve and press it firmly. The gauge needle will deflect, indicating the tire's inflation pressure. Alternatively, the gauge's probe may be pushed out by the air pressure, displaying the inflation pressure.
4. The correct method for reading a tire pressure gauge is as follows: Before reading the gauge: the angle between the center line of the pressure gauge port and the gauge body axis should be 90°~180°, the scale should be quadrilateral, and the range should be 0.07 WPa~0.4 MPa. Before reading, gently tap the gauge housing or surface glass with your finger to eliminate friction in the transmission mechanism.
5. Then, check the pointer on the gauge to determine the tire pressure. Digital tire pressure gauges can be read directly. There are internationally recognized standards for proper tire pressure for automobiles.
